
Senators Reassign Karpars Daugavins To Mississauga

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Ottawa Senators reassigned today forward Kaspars Daugavins to the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from the Binghamton Senators.
In 23 games with the B-Sens this season, Daugavins has scored twice and added one assist, while recording nine penalty minutes.
The 20-year-old was Ottawa's second third-round pick (91st overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
The native of Riga, Latvia, played 62 games last year with the Majors, scoring a team-leading 40 goals and adding 34 assists. His 74 points ranked him first on his team. He also had 18 goals and 42 assists in 61 games with St. Michael's in 2006-07.
The B-Sens (15-9-3-3, 36 pts.) host the Syracuse Crunch (14-14-0-2, 30 pts.) on Friday, Dec. 26. Good seats remain for this contest. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com, by calling ticket master at 722-7272, or at the Arena box office inside the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
