Twisters obtain John Krause on loan from Islanders

Born November 11, 1983 in Framingham, MA. Played collegiate soccer for the Vanderbilt University Commodores. As a senior in 2005, named to the All-Midwest Region first team by the National Collegiate Soccer Coaches Association... led the Commodores in scoring with 12 goals and two assists this season and was a first-team All-Missouri Valley pick. In addition, he was named to the MVC All-Tournament team as he helped lead the Commodores to the conference semifinals and a school record third-place finish during the regular season... Finished his career eighth on Vanderbilt's career goal list with 24 and ninth in points with 53. He achieved those marks in just two seasons in Nashville after transferring from Boston College after his sophomore season in 2003. A second team All-Missouri Valley selection in 2004 after leading Vanderbilt in scoring with 12 goals and three assists (27 points) ... goals scored was fifth on the VU single season list, while points ranked him at seventh ... started in 16 of 17 games played. Started in 22 games at Boston College in 2002-03 ... helped lead his team to the NCAA Final Eight his freshman season. Played professionally for Cape Cod Crusaders (PDL) and now joins the PR Islanders for 2007 USL 1st division season as a defender.

John will remain on the Twisters roster until he travels back to the Islanders to begin training for the clubs appearance in the CONCACAF Champion's League Tournament.

The Twisters hit the road for an away game in Rockford on December 27, 2008. They return for the start of a three game home stand on January 3, 2008.

The NISL features the Baltimore Blast, the 2008 MISL champion, the Philadelphia Kixx, la Raza de Monterrey (Mexico), as well as the Rampage and Twisters. Many of the top indoor players in the world play in the NISL, including stars such as Denison Cabral (Baltimore), Jamar Beasley (Rockford), Genoni Martinez (Monterrey), and Pete Pappas (Philadelphia).
