The Milwaukee Brewers and the Cleveland Indians announced yesterday that Stars' outfelder
Michael Brantley has been named as the "player to be named" in their midseason trade, which
sent CC Sabathia to Milwaukee.The deal, originally struck in July, is now complete with the Brewers receiving Sabathia for outfelders Matt Laporta and Brantley and pitchers Rob Bryson and Zach Jackson. Brantley had a break out year in Huntsville this season hitting .319 with 80 runs scored and 28 stolen bases. He was named to the Southern League mid-season and post-season All Star teams.
Sabathia fnished the season in Milwaukee and compiled 11 wins against only two losses in 17 starts for the Brewers. He also pitched seven complete games and posted a 2.70 ERA.
The Brewers will play their frst home-playoff game since 1982 tonight against the Philadelphia Phillies in game 3 of the NLDS.
