Lisa Felton Bowdy Named Assistant Coach Of South Texas Showboats

San Antonio, TX. Benjamin Mireles, owner of the ABA South Texas Showboats, today announced that Lisa Felton Bowdy has been named Assistant Coach of the team that begins play in December. The mother of Jay Bowdy, one of the Showboat players, Mrs. Bowdy, a San Antonio native, has considerable basketball experience following her graduation from Texas A & M. She played for a team at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines from 1984-88 and was also a player coach for the team. She then played at Williams Air Force Base in Mesa, AZ and coached in the women's and men's intramural league at the Norfolk Naval Airbase, and served as a referee at Clemson Presbyterian College and high school tournaments. She also won an MVP award as a fast pitch softball player in college. Known as a stand out coach with respect for the game and the players, she brings passion, dedication, discipline, commitment, heart, leadership, coaching experience and determination to the team.
