Boston Blazers to host weekend of activities at TD Banknorth Garden on September 6-7
The National Lacrosse League has announced that the 2008 Entry Draft & Player Combine will be held in Boston on the weekend of September 6-7. Both events will be hosted by the expansion Boston Blazers and will take place at TD Banknorth Garden, the Blazers' home arena. A total of 76 players will be selected in the six-round Entry Draft, which features the best young talent from NCAA lacrosse programs of US colleges and universities as well as Canada's junior lacrosse system.
The weekend of activities begin on Saturday, September 6th, when the league will hold a day-long combine for the top prospects at TD Banknorth Garden. The players will participate in drills and physical testing, followed by a Combine Game for Top Prospects at 7pm ET. The game is free of charge for fans to attend, and no advance tickets are necessary.

The Entry Draft & Combine will mark the first major event to be hosted by the Blazers, an expansion team that has joined the league for the 2009 season. The Blazers will begin playing home games at TD Banknorth Garden in January, sharing the arena with the NHL's Boston Bruins and NBA's Boston Celtics. Boston currently holds the first selection in the Entry Draft.
