Fireworks and "Tattered Jersey" T-Shirt Giveaway Highlight JetHawks Homestand

(LANCASTER, CA) -The first half champion Lancaster JetHawks, Class A Affiliate of the World Champion Boston Red Sox, will be bringing momentum back to Clear Channel Stadium beginning tomorrow for a six-game homestand. Winners of 12 of their last 14 games which moved the club into first place in the second half, the JetHawks will host the Lake Elsinore Storm and the High Desert Mavericks for six straight days through Sunday. The JetHawks' current stretch of hot play includes series wins over both those teams.
The JetHawks popular weekday promotions will greet fans as the Storm, a San Diego Padres affiliate, make their final regular season visit to Lancaster this season. The series starts with Tumbleweed Tuesday, offering Reserve Section tickets for $1.50 if ordered by Monday afternoon. Weight Loss Wednesday features special health-conscious menu items and the opportunity to take a walk on the warning track before the game. A lucky fan will have a one in three chance to win $1,000 on $1,000 Thursday presented by Beaven Insurance. And with Cheers Buck Beers presented by Coach's Sports Bar and Grill, domestic draught beer will be just $1 through the sixth inning.
A busy weekend is in store when the High Desert Mavericks, a Seattle Mariners farm club, visits Lancaster. Friday Night Fireworks is back, presented by Diamond Jim's Casino. Saturday night the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a very special JetHawks t-shirt presented by the Office of Traffic Safety's "Click It or Ticket" campaign. This t-shirt honors the Red Sox jersey hidden by a construction worker in the concrete of the new Yankee Stadium. The shirt is designed to look like the tattered remains of the jersey that were pulled out from the jack hammered concrete.
Sunday includes family fun throughout the contest. After the game kids get to run the bases!
