NAHL Releases 2008-09 Schedule

FRISCO, TEXAS - The North American Hockey League announced today the release of its regular-season schedule for the 2008-09 season.

Each of the 19 teams in the league's four divisions - the Central, North, South and West - will play 58 games.

The NAHL's 33rd season will commence at the sixth annual NAHL Showcase Tournament, which will be held from September 17-20, 2008 at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minn., where all 18 NAHL teams, in addition to both the USA Hockey National Team Development Program's Under 18 and Under 17 teams, will compete. The last regular-season games will be played on Sunday, March 29.

The North Division Showcase, featuring all teams from the North Division and the St. Louis Bandits, is scheduled for November 28-30, 2008 at the Boardman Ice Zone in Boardman, Ohio, home of the Mahoning Valley Phantoms.

Game times will be released at a later date.
