
Majic signs local stars

Buford GA. Buford Majic is preparing for 2008 season and getting off on the right foot by announcing the signing of three local stars, Buford High Grad Jakirra Millsap,
former State of Georgia Mr. Basketball, Wayne Arnold and Ex-Dacula stand out B.J Puckett, under local ownership and management, heading into its first season, which runs May-July 2008. The home portion of their schedule will be played at Bogan Parkgymnasium. "The WBA Exposure League mission is to develop the talents of promising young athletes, and prepare them for the likes of the NBA, D-League, CBA, and International Scouts, all while bringing the residents of Buford and surrounding area thrilling competitive play," says Leroy Mc Math Managing partner.
One of the most intriguing features of the Buford Majic is that the ownership team is now local. This will allow the team to be more involved in the community, with offices located in Buford.
The WBA basketball teams are comprised of well-disciplined superior athletes with a maximum of five years professional experience. Exposure to the professional leagues through the WBA vehicle has yielded several players to secure positions with the NBA,
Such players as Jamario Moon, Toronto Raptors, Josh Powell, LA Clippers, Anthony Grundy, formerly of the Atlanta Hawks and Kyle Davis, New Jersey Nets and over 500 players of various professional leagues around the world.
Additionally, the league is steadily gaining momentum as the teams are going like hotcakes spreading throughout the Southeastern states of Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, and North Carolina.
