Lancaster JetHawks News Release

(LANCASTER, CA) - In the California League, a new inning cannot be started after 11:50 PM. That rarely used rule came into play Monday night as the Lancaster JetHawks and the Inland Empire 66ers were tied 3-3 through fifteen innings of play. The game had taken four hours and 45 minutes to that point.

The game will restart Tuesday night at 6 PM and will pick up from where the game left off Monday night. The regularly scheduled game will be played after the conclusion of the first game, likely with a brief break in between.

The most innings ever played in a JetHawks game came in 2003 when the JetHawks and the Lake Elsinore Storm played 17 innings.

The JetHawks home opener for the 2008 season at Clear Channel Stadium takes place on April 10 against the Lake Elsinore Storm. Tremendous ticket packages starting at only $56 are available for purchase now by calling 661.726.5400.
