Meet The Yankees Dinner Slated

Moosic, PA - Fans will have their first opportunity to "Meet the Yankees" when the entire team will be on hand at a pre-season dinner sponsored by the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and Northeastern Baseball, Inc.

The dinner will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Genetti's Manor in Dickson City, PA.

The event will commence at 6:00 PM, when players, coaches, and the manager will be available to greet fans and sign autographs. A full course dinner will be served at 7:15 PM promptly, and will be followed by the program and introduction of the 2008 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees team.

Tickets are priced at $40.00 per person, with $15.00 being donated to a new program created by the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees called "Kids Night Out". The program will provide tickets for children who may not normally be able to attend a game.

"The Meet the Yankees event will once again be the kick off for another great season of baseball at PNC Field," said Yankees Executive VP/COO Jeremy Ruby. "Fans will get a chance to talk baseball and get autographs from the 2008 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees players and field staff as well as getting a fantastic dinner from Genetti's."

Tables of 10 can also be reserved for $400. Reserved status will be assigned to tables of 10, and priority will be given to those who purchase a table before Friday, March 14, 2008. There are a limited number of seats available for the dinner.

Reservations are on a "First come-First served basis, and will close on Friday March 28, 2008, providing the dinner has not been sold our prior to that date.
