Colorado tops Calgary in front of near-sellout in NLL season opener
The Colorado Mammoth defeated the Calgary Roughnecks, 10-9, in front of a near-capacity crowd of 17,811 fans at Pepsi Center in Denver on Saturday night to kick off the regular season of professional indoor lacrosse.
With the Mammoth trailing 8-5 heading into the fourth quarter, Jamie Shewchuk scored back-to-back goals to spark a five-goal outburst as the Mammoth mounted a fourth quarter comeback to top the rival Roughnecks.
The NLL regular season continues next weekend when the Chicago Shamrox host the Toronto Rock on Saturday, January 5th, at 8:00 PM Eastern.
