The 2008 schedule for Team Michigan, as well as the rest of the All American Football League, has been posted on the League's official web site. The 10-game regular season begins on April 12 and ends on June 14. Team Michigan will have two home games in April and three home games in May.
Team Michigan will kick off its inaugural season on the road at Tennessee. The team will then host three consecutive home games against Florida, Alabama and Texas respectively. The next two weeks will see the team travel to Arkansas and then to Florida before returning home for two more home games against Tennessee and Arkansas. Team Michigan will finish the regular season with two more road games at Texas and Alabama.
With only six teams in the league and five home games on each team's schedule, fans will get a chance to see all of the teams in the League at their home stadiums this coming season.
In keeping with the college football tradition that the AAFL is trying to emulate, all games will be played on Saturdays. Kickoff times will be announced at a later date. There are no bye weeks in the schedule.
Team Michigan President Chris Horn likes the schedule, especially having three home games during the first four weeks of the season. "I like the fact that people can plan up front of have three straight weekends of knowing we are there," Horn said. "Our goal is to win games on Saturdays. We just look forward to kicking off the season. We're excited about it."
