CONYERS, GA - The South Coast League of Professional Baseball is pleased to announce the promotion of Ric Sisler to Vice President of Georgia Operations. Sisler had previously held the title of General Manager with the Macon Music and will continue to oversee the Macon market, along with the South Georgia market and assist in the pursuit of expansion teams in the Peach State.

"Ric is a proven leader who has shown the ability to create a foundation of success in markets he has overseen," said SCL Chief Executive Officer Jamie Toole.

In his new role, Sisler will be responsible for developing ongoing relationships with the existing sponsors in both Georgia markets, in addition to developing new and lasting partnerships. His sales background will allow him to utilize those skills in teaching all staff members the proper way to establish a solid fan base.

Ric boasts 17 years of minor league baseball experience and literally has baseball in his blood. Coming from a strong baseball background, he is the grandson of Hall of Famer George Sisler and son of former major leaguer Dick Sisler. After high school, the Nashville, TN native was off to Knoxville and enjoyed a 4-year career as a pitcher for the University of Tennessee, where he also obtained a B.S. in Business Management. Upon graduating, he was drafted by the New York Yankees and played for 3 years in their farm system.

Upon retiring, Sisler took the position of Assistant General Manager for the Savannah Cardinals; a Class A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. Three season's later, Sisler was appointed general manager and began a successful 11-year run in Savannah that saw his clubs break 6 attendance records and win the 1991 South Atlantic League Merit Award for attendance achievement.

In 1995, Sisler spearheaded the creation of a new identity for the city of Savannah's minor league club. After switching affiliations from the Cardinals to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Sisler implemented the current logo and nickname "Sand Gnats", which has quickly become one of the more well-known minor league logos in the country.

In 1999, Ric was honored by the Northern League as Executive of the Year for his work as General Manager of the Elmira Pioneers. Following his time in the Northern League, he spent two years as a GM in the Central League and an additional two years as a GM in the Golden Baseball League.
