Phoenix, Arizona - The Arizona Fall League announces its All-Prospects Team for the 2006 season that was capped last Saturday when the Phoenix Desert Dogs defeated the Grand Canyon Rafters 6-2 at Scottsdale Stadium to claim the league's 15th anniversary championship.
The Desert Dogs' title was their third in succession and fourth overall. The All-Prospects Team, selected by Fall League managers, coaches, and administrators, identifies the players who distinguished themselves throughout the league's six-week schedule of games against other top prospects from every organization in Major League Baseball.

Outfielders Trevor Crowe (Peoria Javelinas/Cleveland Indians)
Former University of Arizona standout stood out in the Fall League, too ... fourth in on-base percentage (.449) and eighth in batting (.329).
Mitch Maier (Grand Canyon Rafters/Kansas City Royals)
Finished fifth in batting (.35) and stolen bases (9).
Fernando Martinez (Mesa Solar Sox/New York Mets)
Youngest player in the history of the Fall League who turned 18 on Opening Day, October 10 ... hit .253 with two home runs.
Kory Casto (Peoria Saguaros/Washington Nationals)
Hit .302 with 17 walks.
Hunter Pence (Mesa Solar Sox/Houston Astros)

Posted the most intriguing statistic of the Fall League season by reaching base safely in his 28 games played, including the championship game ... league leader with 29 runs scored ... also ranked third in hitting (.366) and on-base percentage (.469).
Second Base Kevin Frandsen (Scottsdale Scorpions/San Francisco Giants)
