San Jose Stealth News Release

SAN JOSE - San Jose Stealth Managing Director, General Manager and Head Coach Johnny Mouradian announced today that the organization has signed defenseman Jim Moss to a one-year contract.

Moss, one of the top defensemen in the National Lacrosse League, proved it once again in the 2003-04 campaign. He finished the season with 16 points (11 goals and five assists) in 16 games. He also accumulated 44 penalty minutes and 82 loose balls.

The six-foot, 180-pound native of Toronto, Ontario will be entering his fifth professional season. In 53 career NLL games, Moss has posted 61 points (33 goals and 28 assists) and 346 loose balls.

Last season, Moss was named to the Western Division All-Star Team as an assistant captain. After the season, he was named Best Defensive Player by Inside Lacrosse Magazine (voted on by fellow NLL players). In the 2002-03 season, Moss was named NLL Defenseman of the Year.

Originally signed by the Albany Attack (relocated to San Jose in 2003) as a free agent in 2001, Moss helped the Attack reach the Champion's Cup in 2002.

Besides contributing on the turf, Moss also works in the Stealth's front office as a fan development coordinator. He's active in the community, participating in numerous charity events.
