2. Freedom Names New GM

The Manchester Freedom would like to welcome Chris Cormier to the organization. Chris came to the Freedom last year as a first year player and has now taken on the role of General Manager. From her career as Vice President of a real estate investment firm, Chris brings a solid background in business to the position. She also brings ten years experience as a PSIA Certified Ski Instructor and multi-sport athlete. As a 20 year season ticket holder for the New England Patriots and a New Hampshire native, Chris is excited to be part of the Manchester Freedom women’s football team.

3. Sharks Partner With Giants

The New York Sharks helped out the New York Giants with their Football 201 class on Monday night at Giants Stadium. The program was started by the Giants as a way for women who were looking to apply their football knowledge through on-field drills. Sharks Andra Douglas, Anne Perissi, Courtney Eaton, Amy Colon, Alice Wong, Faith Mitchell, Michelle Brown, Virginia Leon, Toni Salvatore, Lakisha Grant, Kathy Holloman, and Sam Rapoport were on hand along with some players from the Giants. The proceeds from Football 201 go to My Sister's Place/Giants Courage House, a domestic violence shelter located in Westchester, New York.

4. KC Storm Game to be Televised

KC Storm Game to be Televised on Metro Sports! The Kansas City Storm will represent 97.3 The Planet during 810 Sports Radio’s fifth annual Turkey Bowl on Thursday, November 18 at 6:00 pm at Rockhurst High School. The game will be televised on Metro Sports. Admission to the Turkey Bowl is a donation for Harvesters (non perishable food items) or Toys for Tots (unwrapped, new toy over $5 in value). Priest Holmes of the Kansas City Chiefs will be on hand to receive the donations. The Storm will play 810 radio personalities and other local celebrities. A crowd of 3,000-5,000 is expected.

Storm players and coaches will be featured on 97.3 the Planet and 810 Sports Radio promoting this event. Tune in and listen!
