
Vancouver Blazers join WHA
August 4, 2004 - World Hockey Association 2 (WHA2-2) News Release
The World Hockey Association Founders announced today that the "Founders Franchise" in the league will play in Vancouver, British Columbia.
League and team officials will be in Vancouver next week to provide franchise details of the Vancouver Blazers.
Details of a Media Conference to be held at GM Place will be provided on Monday, August 9, 2004.
It is the intention of the franchise owners and representatives from Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment to complete the groundwork regarding the lease arrangements for the Blazers at GM Place by August 15, 2004.
The original Vancouver Blazers played from 1973 â 1975 after relocating from Philadelphia.
