National Soccer League Scores Multi-Year Ball Deal with Huffy Sports

SANDY, Utah (January 13, 2004) â The National Soccer League announced it has signed a four-year deal with Huffy Sports Company that designates the manufacturer as its official game-day ball provider. Under terms of the agreement, Huffy Sports will also produce and market an NSL-licensed retail ball featuring the NSL logo and/or individual team logos. The NSL and Huffy Sports will work together to create a custom-designed indoor soccer ball with plans to launch the first NSL-licensed retail ball in conjunction with the start of league play.
The NSL is a new professional indoor soccer league set to begin play in June 2006. The league will feature franchises in a minimum of eight markets across the country.
Randy Schickert, president and general manager of Huffy Sports Company, feels the deal solidifies the company's position in the soccer category.
