Otis Floyd Suspended by CFL

Toronto, Ontario – The Canadian Football League announced today that Calgary linebacker Otis Floyd has been suspended for a minimum of one game following an on-field incident in the game against Hamilton on Friday, October 3. Line Judge Boris Velcic was struck by a helmet during an altercation involving Mr. Floyd.
CFL Commissioner Tom Wright: “We need to make it very clear that there will be absolutely no tolerance in the abuse of our officials. Further discipline may be handed down pending the outcome of the investigation of the incident.”
CalgaryÂ’s next game is October 13 when they visit the Saskatchewan Roughriders in one of two Gridiron Thanksgiving games. The other game features Toronto at Ottawa.
