16 Storm Players Involved in Professional Playoffs

Kearney, Neb. - Former Storm forward Jaden Schwartz has scored two game-winning goals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the St. Louis Blues lead their first round series, 3-0, over the Minnesota Wild. The former USHL All-Star looks to lead his squad to a sweep Tuesday. Last season, the Blues made the Western Conference Final.

The ECHL's Kelly Cup Playoffs are in the opening round and feature 10 former Storm players. Daniel Doremus scored the game-winning goal for Manchester Friday against Adirondack and the Monarchs lead the best-of-seven, 2-0. Utah's starting goalie Kevin Boyle is 1-1 in two games against two-time defending champion Allen. Meanwhile, Orlando's Darik Angeli has an assist through two Kelly Cup games and the Solar Bears lead their series, 2-0, against Florida.

The AHL's Calder Cup Playoffs kick off Thursday and five former Storm players are involved. In the opening round, Toronto's Trevor Moore squares off against Albany's Blake Coleman and Nick Lappin. Both Lappin (43GP) and Coleman (23GP) played for the New Jersey Devils this season. Pheonix Copley is the starting goaltender for the Hershey Bears and takes on Lehigh Valley. Copley had a 26-11-3-1 mark and finished seventh in the league with a 2.25 goals against average. Call 308-338-8144 to register for 2017-18 Storm season tickets.
