Springfield Jr. Blues Hire New Assistant Coach

SPRINGFIELD, IL - The Jr. Blues are excited to announce Tom Lenox as their new assistant coach.

Lenox will be joining the Jr. Blues immediately and will be focusing on player development and recruiting as the team prepares for its pre-draft camp at the end of May (24-26th)

Lenox has been involved with all levels of hockey for more than 20 years, and said he looks forward to moving to Springfield.

"The opportunity to work with Tony (Zasowski) and the history that the Springfield Jr. Blues have in the NAHL really made this opportunity one that I just couldn't pass up. I'm looking forward to helping Tony continue to build off of last years success."

Lenox has traveled extensively during his involvement with the game, which includes scouting, coaching, player development and operations management ranging from the junior levels, to college and the pros including time as and NCAA Division I assistant coach with University of Alabama-Hunstville. Most recently Lenox was the head coach of the boy's hockey team at the National Sports Academy in Lake Placid, NY.

"I am excited to have someone of Tom's experience to join our staff." Said Head Coach Tony Zasowski "I am looking forward to working with Tom as I know he will help take the Jr. Blues to the next level.

Coach Lenox is married to his wife Donna and has two children, Jack and Charlie, who are 8 and 6 years old.
