JetHawks Earn Series Split with Shutout

STOCKTON, Calif. - Four JetHawks pitchers combined to shutout the Stockton Ports, 7-0, to earn a series split in the final game of the series on Thursday night at Banner Island Ballpark.

Trey Killian (3-0) tossed five scoreless innings to earn his team-leading third win. Marc Magliaro threw two scoreless innings out of the bullpen, and Max Schuh and Alexander Guillen each tossed one shutout frame to finish off the club's second shutout win of the season.

The JetHawks (9-12) took a 2-0 lead in the second innings on a Mylz Jones double. Brendan Rodgers followed with an RBI-double in the third inning. Ports (11-10) starter A.J. Puk (0-2) lasted 2.1 innings.

Brian Mundell hit a three-run home run in the eighth inning to make it a 6-0 game. The home run was Mundell's team-leading fourth of the season and marked his third straight game with a home run. His team-leading RBI-total was up to 18 by game's end and he extended his hitting streak to six games. Yonathan Daza doubled in the eighth to move his team-best hit streak to eight games.

The JetHawks added a final run in the ninth inning on a Daza sac-fly.

Lancaster returns home and begins a three-game series with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Friday night at The Hangar. Colin Welmon will start against Mitch White. First pitch is 6:35 p.m.
