Tigers Announce Dodd Stadium Baseball Academy

Norwich, CT - The Connecticut Tigers are pleased to announce the opening of the Dodd Stadium Baseball Academy. The Baseball Academy will provide individual instruction to baseball and softball players of all ages. All lessons will take place at Dodd Stadium inside in the Tigers state of the art indoor hitting and pitching facility. Strength and Conditioning will be provided by Chris Baillargeon inside the Tigers workout area. For information regarding lessons please call (860)887-7962 ext. 104 or email academy@cttigers.com.

The Baseball Academy will be run by Brent Southworth Director of Sales for the CT Tigers.

Southworth is a former Montville High School baseball assistant coach and former head coach of the Norwich American Legion baseball team, who were 1999 state champions during his tenure. Lessons will also be provided by Scott Chaisson a former Major League Baseball pitcher with the Chicago Cubs and former Minor League Baseball player with the Norwich Navigators.

"We are excited to add another aspect to the CT Tigers brand. Opening the Dodd Stadium Baseball Academy allows us to remain a viable baseball option year round" said CT Tigers Vice President and General Manager C.J. Knudsen. "This will be a great resource for the baseball and softball players of Connecticut to come and work on there skills in a top notch facility."

The Connecticut Tigers are the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play a 76 game (38 home, 38 away) schedule that runs from mid June through early September. 2014 season tickets are now on sale! The front office and ticket office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be accessed in person or by calling 860-887-7962.
