Woodchucks Announce Ronnie Richardson as New Field Manager for 2019

February 5, 2019 - Wausau, WIS - The Wisconsin Woodchucks are excited to announce Ronnie Richardson as the new Field Manager for the upcoming 2019 season. Ronnie is no stranger to the Wisconsin Woodchucks as he served as an Assistant Coach in 2017. He then took one year off from college baseball to head back to professional baseball to become the Defensive Coach with the Batavia Muckdogs, which is the Miami Marlins minor league Short Season team in New York. November 16, 2018 - Wausau, Wis. - The Northwoods League schedule for the 2019 season was released today. The schedule now features 22 teams with the additions of the Kokomo Jackrabbits and Traverse City Baseball. As part of the 2019 expansion and realignment, the League is adopting new divisional names: Great Plains and Great Lakes. August 13, 2018 - Wausau, WI - The Northwoods League announced the 2018 Postseason All-Star Team and award winners on Sunday, August 12. Duluth second baseman Augie Isaacson was named the League's Most Valuable Player and Eau Claire's Justin Slaten was named Pitcher of the Year as voted by the League's coaches and members of the media. Donnie Scott from Madison was named the Manager of the Year and Justin Berg from Kenosha won the Coach of the Year Award. Woodchucks End Season with a Win

August 12, 2018 - Wausau, WIS- The Wisconsin Woodchucks played their final game of the season on the road against the Lakeshore Chinooks tonight. A pitching battle started the game heading into the fourth inning where the Chucks bats started on fire. With RBI's and homeruns the Chucks led the Chinooks 6-0. Mike Ferri started the RBI trend with a RBI single bringing in Nick Loftin. Following Ferri, Nelson also had a RBI single bringing in Derenzo.
