Power to Host Negro Leagues' Centennial Celebration Exhibit August 7

July 31, 2020 - CHARLESTON, W.Va. - As part of the Centennial Celebration of the creation of the Negro Leagues, the West Virginia Power, in partnership with the Josh Gibson Foundation and AARP-West Virginia, is excited to be the first team across professional baseball in 2020 to host this special exhibit honoring the Negro Leagues. Barring severe weather or new COVID-19 restrictions, the exhibit will run from noon to 6 PM Friday, August 7, under the third-base concourse canopy at Appalachian Power Park. Brubaker Makes MLB Debut with Pirates Sunday in St. Louis

July 27, 2020 - CHARLESTON, W.Va. - After making the Pittsburgh Pirates Opening Day roster, former Power pitcher J.T. Brubaker made his MLB debut for the Pirates Sunday in St. Louis at Busch Stadium. Brubaker is the 89th former Power player to debut in the big leagues, as well as the eighth member from their 2016 squad. Power to Host PBR WV Panhandle Series Tournament

July 8, 2020 - CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Appalachian Power Park will host the Prep Baseball Report West Virginia Panhandle Series Tournament this weekend, beginning Friday, July 10 and running through Sunday, July 12. Travel teams of various age groups will face each other in a pool play-style tournament throughout the three-day span. 2020 Minor League Season Shelved

June 30, 2020 - CHARLESTON, W.Va. - In accordance with Minor League Baseball, the West Virginia Power's 2020 season has been shelved as a result of Major League Baseball's decision to not provide players to any affiliated Minor League teams this year. No games from the 2020 season will be made up in any capacity.
