West Virginia Power Left out of MLB Plans

SAL West Virginia Power December 9, 2020 - CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The West Virginia Power has released the following official statement regarding today's news that Major League Baseball has not invited the Power to be a part of affiliated Minor League Baseball in 2021. ---- Power Managing Partner Tim Wilcox: "We are saddened to learn that MLB did not extend an invitation to the Power to remain a part of affiliated Minor League Baseball for the 2021 season. Cederlind Makes MLB Debut Tuesday with Pirates

SAL West Virginia Power September 16, 2020 - CHARLESTON, W.Va. - After being recalled from the Pittsburgh Pirates' Alternate Training Site yesterday, RHP Blake Cederlind made his MLB debut Tuesday evening in Cincinnati. Cederlind is the 93rd former Power player to debut in the big leagues, and the fourth member of the 2017 West Virginia Power to make it to The Show, as well as the first from the 2018 team. Mathisen Makes MLB Debut Monday Night with Diamondbacks

SAL West Virginia Power September 8, 2020 - CHARLESTON, W.Va. - After being recalled from the Arizona Diamondbacks' Alternate Training Site Sunday, infielder Wyatt Mathisen made his MLB debut Monday night, earning the start at third base in San Francisco at Oracle Park. Mathisen is the 92nd former Power player to play in the big leagues. The Diamondbacks' offense was mostly subdued last night, as they were held to two runs on three hits in a 4-2 loss to the Giants.
