D'Orio, Pare, Safin Head to AHL

March 20, 2018 - SAINT JOHN - Goaltender Alex D'Orio and forwards Cedric Pare and Ostap Safin are heading to the American Hockey League for the remainder of the 2017-18 season. D'Orio, 18, is joining the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Sherbrooke-native signed as a free agent with Pittsburgh in September. March 17, 2018 - SYDNEY, NS - Brendan Sibley scored his first QMJHL goal and Cole Reginato found the net in his last career game as the Saint John Sea Dogs ended the 2017-18 season with an 8-3 loss to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, Saturday at Centre 200. Phelix Martineau buried a hat trick and added an assist to lead the Cape Breton (32-28-6-2) offence. March 16, 2018 - SYDNEY, NS - Rookie goaltender Tommy Da Silva made 38 saves for the Saint John Sea Dogs in a 3-2 loss to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, Friday at Centre 200. Brooklyn Kalmikov and Phelix Martineau had a goal and an assist each for Cape Breton (31-28-6-2). Former Sea Dog Isiah Campbell also scored while Egor Sokolov chipped in with two assists. Sea Dogs Add Owen MacPhee as Emergency Backup Goalie

March 16, 2018 - SYDNEY, NS - The Saint John Sea Dogs have added Owen MacPhee to their roster as an emergency backup goaltender for the final weekend of the regular season. The 17-year-old from Sydney played this season for Riverview High School in Coxheath, Nova Scotia, posting a 5-3 record with a 2.36 goals-against average in eight games. He appeared in four playoff games as well, with a 3-1 record and a 1.52 goals-against average.
