Chiefs Throw First No-Hitter Since 2000, Power Past Indy for Doubleheader Sweep

April 18, 2018 - The combination of Austin Voth, David Goforth, Tim Collins and Austin Adams combined to throw the 17th no-hitter in Syracuse Chiefs franchise history as Syracuse beat Indianapolis, 5-0, in game one of a doubleheader. In game two, Syracuse scored five runs in the first inning on the way to a 7-0 win. The no-hitter was the Chiefs' first since 2000, when Leo Estrella threw a seven inning perfect game, also against Indianapolis. Chiefs Clipped by Tribe in Opener, Second Game Snowed Out

April 17, 2018 - Syracuse, NY ( April 17, 2018 ) - The Syracuse Chiefs lost the opening game of a three-game series against the Indianapolis Indians on Tuesday afternoon, 4-2. Chiefs starting pitcher C├ęsar Vargas picked up a hit and an RBI in the game while throwing five innings. Indianapolis (5-4) struck first in the top of the first inning.
