Shannon Doyle's Late Goal Gives Whale Win over Riveters, First Victory of the Season

November 18, 2018 - The Connecticut Whale earned its first win of the season in dramatic fashion. After a tight battle with the Metropolitan Riveters, the Whale took the victory on Shannon Doyle's goal from the point with 1:19 left for a 2-1 win Sunday afternoon at RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House. Whale goaltender Meeri Räisänen was once again a showstopper, making 27 saves, including a number of highlight-reel stops to keep her team in the game. Beauts Battle Back to .500 with Decisive Win

November 18, 2018 - BOSTON, Mass. - After dropping the first half of a back-to-back series with the Boston Pride on Saturday, the Buffalo Beauts took an early 2-0 lead in Sunday's rematch and never relinquished that lead, defeating the Pride 5-2 at Warrior Ice Arena. Shannon Szabados had a stellar game in net for the Beauts, stopping 24 of 26 Boston shots to improve to 2-2-0 through her first four games with the Beauts. November 17, 2018 - Boston Pride captain Jillian Dempsey and forward Gigi Marvin each scored twice as the Pride took a 4-1 win over the Buffalo Beauts on Saturday night at Warrior Ice Arena, as Boston improved to 3-1 on the season and Buffalo dropped to 2-3. The Pride jumped into second place behind the undefeated Whitecaps (6-0).
