NWHL Expands to Minnesota

May 15, 2018 - The National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) has entered its first phase of expansion in a significant way. The league, founded in 2015 with a mission of providing strong female role models for the community while fueling the continued growth of the sport and brand of women's hockey, has extended its reach by expanding to the great hockey state of Minnesota. NWHL Free Agency Begins June 1

May 8, 2018 - Brooklyn, NY- Preparations for Season 4 of the National Women's Hockey League are in full flight. Today, the league confirmed that Free Agency will begin on June 1. In addition, registration for prospective players that were not drafted by NWHL teams is now open at NWHL.zone/freeagency. To be eligible, players must have graduated college. NJ State Assembly Honors Morse and the Riveters for Winning the Isobel Cup

April 13, 2018 - The Metropolitan Riveters received an official proclamation from the New Jersey State Assembly on Thursday honoring the team's Isobel Cup Championship. New Jersey native Rebecca Morse proudly represented the team and brought the Isobel Cup to the New Jersey State House in Trenton. Several members of the Assembly took pictures with Morse and the Cup. Metropolitan Riveters Are 2018 Isobel Cup Champions

March 25, 2018 - The Metropolitan Riveters won their first NWHL Championship in dramatic fashion, knocking off the defending Isobel Cup Champion Buffalo Beauts 1-0 in front of a standing room only crowd at Barnabas Health Hockey House. The Rivs finished in last place in the league's inaugural season and slowly but surely under the tutelage of coach Chad Wiseman they rose up, and have now laid the foundation for the franchise's bright future.
