In Overtime Classic, Minnesota Whitecaps Win Isobel Cup to Cap Historic First NWHL Season

March 17, 2019 - The Minnesota Whitecaps have made history. In their first NWHL season, they are Isobel Cup champions. Lee Stecklein scored 49 seconds into overtime to give the Whitecaps a 2-1 win over the Buffalo Beauts in an absolute thriller of an Isobel Cup Final. The teams engaged in a defensive battle for much of the game, with the two goals in regulation both coming in a span of 1:22 at the end of the first period. March 17, 2019 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Buffalo Beauts fell to the Minnesota Whitecaps in the 2019 Isobel Cup Final in heartbreaking fashion on Sunday afternoon in Minnesota. Buffalo was defeated 2-1 in overtime by the top seed in the NWHL Isobel Cup playoffs, coming up short in the championship game for the second year in a row. Beauts and Whitecaps Set to Face off in Isobel Cup Final on Sunday

March 16, 2019 - After impressive wins in the semifinals, the Buffalo Beauts and the Minnesota Whitecaps have punched their tickets to the Isobel Cup Final.
