Swift Current Broncos News Release
The Canadian Hockey League has announced the roster of 40 players that will compete in the 2008 Home Hardware CHL-NHL Top Prospects Game. Broncos forward Geordie Wudrick will be representing his team at this year's Top Prospect's game, which is set to take place at Rexall Place in Edmonton, AB on January 22nd and 23rd.
Geordie was originally drafted by the Broncos in the 1st round (2nd overall) of the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft and was ranked 10th among WHL skaters by the NHL's Central Scouting in November. He has played 39 games with the Broncos this season, recording 9 goals and 11 assists.
"This will be a great opportunity for Geordie to showcase his skills against the rest of the CHL's top prospects." commented Broncos Head Coach Dean Chynoweth.
Wudrick will be playing for team Red and will be joined by 6 other WHL skaters in James Wright (VAN), Jordan Eberle (REG), Colton Teubert (REG), Luca Sbisa (LETH), Jyri Niemi (SASK) and Chet Pickard (TRI).
