World Fighting Championships Head to Northern Nevada

Reno, NV - Greater Nevada Field, in conjunction with World Fighting Championships, has announced that the toughest athletes on the planet will travel to the Biggest Little City for an evening of action-packed Mixed Martial Arts.

The event will take place on May 31, 2019 at Greater Nevada Field. Tickets to the event, which are expected to go quickly, will go on sale March 15 at greaternevadafield.com or (775) 334-7000.

Time: Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the fights begin at 6:30 p.m.

"Northern Nevada gave WFC our start and has consistently supported our events to capacity over the past six years. We were looking for a place large enough to hold our biggest fight ever and there is no better place for it than outside at Greater Nevada Field," said WFC President, Matt McGovern. "When word started to get out where we were doing the show, every top fighter in the region asked to be on the card. It's going to be a great night of fights. Last year was huge but we expect it to be even bigger."

"We're thrilled to partner with Matt and welcome World Fighting Championships to Greater Nevada Field for the second consecutive year," said Reno Aces, 1868 FC president Eric Edelstein. "WFC gives our community yet another event to enjoy sports and the outdoors in downtown Reno."

The Aces open their 2019 season on Thursday, April 4 at 7:05 p.m. against the Fresno Grizzlies at Chukchansi Park and return for Opening Night on April 9th at Greater Nevada Field.
