
Wings Lose in Rochester 11-6

The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) lost to the Rochester Knighthawks 11-6 this afternoon at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York. The Wings are now 3-3 in their 25th Anniversary Season.
Forwards Athan Iannucci, Drew Westervelt, Ryan Boyle and Alex Turner scored for the Wings. Nooch picked up 5 points today with 2 goals and 3 assists. Westervelt added 4 points with 2 goals and 2 assists. NLL Player of the Week Brandon Miller had 31 saves in 41 minutes. He allowed 8 goals before being relieved by rookie goaltender Ray Hodgkinson.
Rochester scorers included transition player Jordon Hall, who scored 3 goals. Craig Point and Mike Accursi finished the matinee game with 2 goals each while Cody Jamieson, Chris Driscoll, Shawn Williams and Shawn Evans scored 1 goal a piece.
The Philadelphia Wings return home to the Wells Fargo Center next Saturday, February 12 to host the Buffalo Bandits at 7 p.m. The game will be followed by a pink jersey auction in the AT&T Pavilion to benefit the Four Diamonds Fund.
