Philadelphia Wings News Release
The Philadelphia Wings Indoor Lacrosse Team hosts a Back-To-School Tailgate Party at Wings Field Airport with students from the Don Guanella School and Elwyn Incorporated.
The students will help the Wings unveil their new promotional vehicle, which will be used for promotions and appearances throughout the year. The Wings vehicle is provided by Main Line Land Rover, which is located at 522 W Lancaster Avenue in Haverford, PA. After players and students "unveil" the vehicle a tailgate picnic lunch will be held for all those in attendance. In addition to these activities students will also have the opportunity to receive lacrosse instruction from players and will also be able to earn their "Wings" by touring the airport.
The Don Guanella School of Springfield, PA and Elwyn Incorporated, with several locations in the Philadelphia area, are both facilities for young children with a wide range of disabilities and disadvantages. Wings Field Airport is the oldest airport in the state of Pennsylvania.
The six-time World Champion Philadelphia Wings begin their eight game home season at the First Union Center in January 2003. Season tickets for the 2003 Philadelphia Wings are now on sale by calling (215) 389-WINGS. Wings season tickets start as low as $120.
The Philadelphia Wings are owned and operated by Philadelphia Wings L.P., whose principal owners are Russ Cline and Michael French. Comcast-Spectacor serves as the marketing, promotional, advertising, sponsorship and publicity arm of the Wings.
