Wideout Devin Wilson Signs with Sharks
JACKSONVILLE - Wide Receiver Devin Wilson (6'3, 210) signs with the Jacksonville Sharks for his fifth year of arena football and second with the Sharks. Last season, Wilson signed with the Maine Mammoths for their inaugural season in the NAL and proved to be a dominant threat by earning First Team All-NAL honors as a Wide Receiver. He totaled 79 receptions for 1,035 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown with the Mammoths. In the 2017 season, Wilson played with the Jacksonville Sharks and helped Jacksonville to a NAL Championship victory. He caught 25 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns in nine games with the Sharks. Prior to the Sharks, Wilson spent the 2016 season with the Cleveland Gladiators of the AFL where he made 21 catches for 262 yards and nine touchdowns. Wilson started his arena career with the Richmond Raiders in 2015 when they were with the PIFL. That season, he caught 40 balls for 483 yards and eight touchdowns.
Wilson attended Tennessee State and played Wide Receiver for the Tigers. In his college career, he totaled 76 receptions for 935 yards and six touchdowns.
Wilson is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and Pope John II High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was named All-Region his Junior and Senior year in football. He also was named All-Region in Track and Field.
