Rebound and Respond - Nashville SC's defeat at Toronto FC on Saturday was just the club's third loss of the season, still the fewest in Major League Soccer this season. Even with the loss, the Boys in Gold are seven points clear of the playoff line and four points clear of the home field advantage line.

Forward CJ Sapong said the team should learn from the loss without losing sight of the bigger picture of a long MLS season.

"I don't think we need to be too down on ourselves," Sapong said. "It is only our third loss of the season. It gives us an opportunity to take lessons and build character to hopefully propel us through the post-season and beyond."

CJ 300 - Sapong scored his 10th goal of 2021 in his 300th career MLS appearance on Saturday in Toronto. The goal came on the end of a fantastic connection between Hany Mukhtar and Randall Leal in the midfield before Leal laid a perfect cross to the netfront for Sapong to knock in.

Sapong gave credit to his teammates for setting him up for a goal on an important night in his career.

"It was easy for me," Sapong said. "I think Randall and Hany definitely did most of the work, found the spaces and once Randall broke through it was just me trying to stay on side and put the ball into empty net."

Scouting Inter Miami CF - This will be Nashville SC's third and final encounter with Inter Miami CF during the regular season. Nashville earned a 0-0 draw on May 2 against Miami before dropping a tough 2-1 contest on Aug. 8 in Fort Lauderdale. The South Florida side enters this match after having its six-match unbeaten streak snapped last Friday with a 4-0 loss at the hands of New York Red Bulls.

Prior to Friday's loss, Miami had put up four consecutive clean sheets during its unbeaten run. They'll be up against a Nashville side that has been shut out just twice since the start of July.
