Western Conference Finals - Game 4 Preview: Guelph Storm vs. Saginaw Spirit
Game four of the Western Finals between the Guelph Storm and the Saginaw Spirit goes Wednesday April 24th at 7:00pm at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph.
The Guelph Storm are heading into game four with some motivation after winning game three by a score of 5-2. The Storm were able to take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission after a tipped goal by Zachary Roberts with less than five minutes to play.
Isaac Ratcliffe scored early in the second period to give the Storm a 2-0 lead before Owen Tippett scored to cut the lead in half. With under two minutes to play, Reagan O'Grady finished off a nice passing play by the Spirit to tie the game heading into the final frame.
Early in the third period, Sean Durzi made a great pass to Cedric Ralph to give the Storm a 3-2 lead on Ralph's first of the playoffs. Nate Schnarr scored on the power play to give the Storm a 4-2 lead, before Keegan Stevenson would score in an empty net to give the Storm a 5-2 win and give the Storm their first win of the series.

Sean Durzi was acquired by the Guelph Storm in January at the trade deadline and collected 20 points in 17 regular season games. In the first round of the playoffs against the Rangers, Sean collected 5 assists in the first round sweep. Against the London Knights in the second round, Durzi scored 1 goal and added 6 assists for 7 points in the 7 game series. So far in the West Finals against the Saginaw Spirit, Sean has 1 goal and 3 assists bringing his playoff total to 16 points in 14 playoff games.
Damien Giroux had a career season for the Spirit, as he scored 30 goals and added 21 assists for 51 points in 67 games during the regular season. In the first round of the playoffs against the Sarnia Sting, Damien scored 4 goals and 1 assist in the opening round sweep. In the second round against the Greyhounds, Giroux collected 2 goals and 2 assists in the 6 game series and scored in game two of the West Finals against the Guelph Storm bringing his playoff point total to 10.
