CHARLESTON, W.V. - The Power returns home for their second-to-last homestand of 2018 in a week-long stretch against the Columbia Fireflies from August 15-17 and the Charleston RiverDogs from August 18-21. West Virginia has split the six-game season series with the Fireflies so far, meanwhile, they have taken two of three from the RiverDogs.

Wednesday, August 15: Power vs. Columbia Fireflies: 7:05 p.m.

Thursday, August 16: Power vs. Columbia Fireflies: 7:05 p.m.

Friday, August 17: Power vs. Columbia Fireflies: 7:05 p.m.

Saturday, August 18: Power vs. Charleston RiverDogs: 6:05 p.m.

Sunday, August 19: Power vs. Charleston RiverDogs: 2:05 p.m.

Monday, August 20: Power vs. Charleston RiverDogs: 7:05 p.m.

Tuesday, August 21: Power vs. Charleston RiverDogs: 7:05 p.m.

ABOUT THE FIREFLIES: Columbia is in the last place in the Southern Division of the South Atlantic League in the second half, sitting nine games behind the Lexington Legends. The Fireflies are 54-62 overall. Columbia has been hampered by a .236 team batting average, the worst mark in the league. Their plunge to the bottom of the Southern Division in the second half has been pushed by sub-par pitching in the second half. Their ERA has jumped to 3.79, which is sixth-highest in the South Atlantic League. Offensively, the Fireflies are led by Matt Winaker 's .255 average. The outfielder has also tallied 10 home runs while driving in a team-high 50 runs. Luc Rennie has been a welcome sight since he came to Columbia. In six starts since joining the Fireflies, he has worked 38.2 innings while retaining a 2-2 record and striking out 48 batters.

ABOUT THE RIVERDOGS: Charleston is sixth in the Southern Division in the second half, sitting eight games behind the Lexington Legends. The RiverDogs are 54-63 overall. The RiverDogs are tied with Augusta for the second-best ERA in the South Atlantic League at 3.24. Despite a 1-5 record, JP Sears holds a team-best 2.67 record through 11 games (10 starts) over 54 innings. He has struck out one batter per inning while only walking 11 men. Pablo Olivares has been a solid member of the Fireflies' lineup, averaging .338 over 56 games with a four homers and 26 RBI.

PETS IN THE PARK NIGHT: Bring your cat, dog, snake or any pet to Appalachian Power Park for the homestand opener between the Power and the Fireflies. Pet passes are just $3.00 and all proceeds go to various animal-related charities. Gates open at 6 p.m. for this 7:05 p.m. match-up.

THIRSTY THURSDAY: Join us on West Virginia Tourism Night, presented by the Charleston CVB. It doubles as Thirsty Thursday, presented by Rock 105. Fans can purchase $1.00 12-ounce beverages or $2.00 16-ounce domestic cans. In addition, college students who present a valid ID at the box office can receive $2.00 off their price of admission. Be sure to come early for Happy Hour at the Budweiser Dugout Bar as well. Fans can buy $1.00 12-ounce draft beers and listen to live music from Creeks Don't Rise from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.

WOWK-TV NIGHT: The Power is hosting a special Fireworks Friday, with postgame fireworks put on display courtesy of Electric 102.7, in their series finale against the Columbia Fireflies. Anchors from WOWK-TV will be in attendance and will sign autographs before the game. Gates open at 6 p.m. for this 7:05 p.m. ballgame.

TREVOR HOFFMAN GIVEAWAY: Gates open at 5 p.m. in West Virginia's series opener versus the Charleston RiverDogs, and fans will want to rush to the gates to receive their Trevor Hoffman figurines. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive the figurine of the former Charleston Wheeler, courtesy of the Charleston Building and Construction Trades Council. Appalachian Power Park will also host Happy Hour at the Budweiser Dugout Bar from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with Scarlet Revolt set to perform. Fans can enjoy $1.00 12-ounce drafts during the performance. First pitch is at 6:05 p.m.

KIDZ SUNDAY FUNDAY: Join the Power for their 2:05 p.m. contest against the Charleston RiverDogs. Kids 12 and younger can play catch on the field before the game, as well as run the bases after the game, courtesy of the SMART529 College Savings Program. All kids that are members of the 2018 Kidz Club, presented by Sheetz, receive free admission to Sunday's game. Stick around after the series finale for an autograph session from select Power players. Gates open at 1 p.m.

FIRST RESPONDERS AND COMMUNITY APPRECIATION NIGHT: The Power hosts a special Family Buck Night August 20. All first responders who attend the game will receive a free box seat ticket. Other fans can still get special deals, including $3.00 box seats and $1.00 general admission tickets. Fans can also enjoy $1.00 concession specials on Pepsi products, popcorn and hot dogs after the gates open at 6 p.m. Be sure to come and celebrate Chuck's Birthday during West Virginia's contest against the Charleston RiverDogs. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.

TWO FOR TUESDAY: Enjoy two-for-one 16-ounce domestic cans and other select concession specials, presented by Rock 105, at the series finale between the Power and the RiverDogs. Gates open at 6 p.m. for this 7:05 p.m. match-up.
