RAPIDS FACE SWANSEA CITY OF ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE FRIENDLY TOMORROW NIGHT : This Tuesday, the Colorado Rapids take on English Premier League side Swansea City in an International Friendly at 7:00 p.m. MT at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The Swans arrived in Denver on Sunday night and are currently preparing for their 2012-13 Premier League season. Included in their 23-man roster for the trip are captain Garry Monk, the club's top scorer last season, Danny Graham (12 goals), and their newest addition, Spanish attacking midfielder Michu. SOUNDERS TO VISIT RAPIDS ON MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT THIS SATURDAY: The Colorado Rapids return to regular season action this Saturday, July 28, hosting Seattle Sounders FC at 7 p.m. MT on Military Appreciation Night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. As part of the celebration, the Rapids, Coca-Cola Refreshments and Walmart will honor members of the United States Armed Forces with a $10,000 donation to the United Service Organizations (USO), and the night also features on-field recognition for several active duty service members as well as an enlistment ceremony at halftime. SPECIAL OLYMPICS CONCLUDE SUMMER EVENT SERIES WITH COLORADO VS. SEATTLE ON JULY 28: The Denver and Seattle area Special Olympics soccer teams will compete in their final match of the summer series of events this Saturday, July 28 on the pitch at Dick's Sporting Goods Park after the Colorado Rapids take on Seattle Sounders FC. Media and fans are invited to stay and cheer on the Special Olympics teams, who met earlier this month in Seattle. DILLON SERNA AND U-20 MNT COMPETE IN NORTHERN IRELAND MILK CUP: The U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team advanced to the third place match in the Northern Ireland Milk Cup and will face Chile on Thursday, July 16. The U.S. lost their first match 1-0 against Denmark on Saturday, and defeated Turkey today 1-0, with Rapids Academy U-18 midfielder Dillon Serna seeing substantial game time so far in his first call-up to the U-20 National Team. RAPIDS UNDER-18 TEAM FINISHES 6TH IN THE COUNTRY: The Colorado Rapids Under-18 Team capped a spectacular season at U.S. Soccer Development Academy Finals Week this week in Houston, finishing 6th out of 78 clubs across the country. The Rapids were one of just eight clubs to make it to Finals Week, and were without standout Dillon Serna, who was with the United States Under-20 National Team for a tournament in Northern Ireland.

RAPIDS AUCTIONING HELPCOLORADONOW.ORG JERSEYS: The Colorado Rapids' special, game-worn jerseys from the match on July 4th, which featured the Colorado state flag and HelpColoradoNow.org across the chest, are being auctioned off to help raise money and awareness for those affected by the fires throughout the state. The auction will run until August 5, with proceeds going to charitable organizations through HelpColoradoNow.org, a website that brings together government agencies and non-profit organizations to assist communities affected by disaster.
