Georgia Swarm News Release

Dear Swarm Fan,

Rare are the moments in life when you are instantly taken back to a particular moment and can perfectly recall how you felt then, what was going through your mind. Rarer still are those moments where you feel those exact same emotions.

Last Saturday night when I was watching Game 2 of the 2017 NLL Finals on Atlanta's CW69, the game that brought Atlanta its first pro sports world championship in nearly 22 years and the Swarm's first one in franchise history, I can honestly reveal I felt like I was back at SaskTel Centre with my family, my heart racing the whole game, my stomach a nest of butterflies during the fourth quarter and overtime.

Hopefully you felt a similar excitement watching that broadcast if it was your first time seeing it. That game is one that makes one a box lacrosse fan for life, and our team providing audio commentary at key moments of the game just highlighted everything beautifully. I greatly valued the insight of what was going through our players and coaches' minds throughout that game.

Reliving an Atlanta championship has been a wonderful treat during this time, and it has made me even hungrier to get back to Sting City to see our men compete at the highest level and see you awesome fans cheering them on and doing the Goal Dance.

Based off of the feedback we've received from all of you so far who watched the historic broadcast, the broadcast of this game for the first time ever was a home run, and I can't thank our amazing local broadcast partner Atlanta's CW69 enough for all they did to make this broadcast a reality and for their incredible production.

We're still wanting to hear from everyone about seeing lacrosse on television, whether you were able to watch it, and talk about your thoughts on the historic airing. Visit this page before the end of the week to let us know whether you were able to watch the broadcast or not, and you'll be automatically entered for a chance to win a 2017 NLL World Championship replica ring!
