Weekly Specials & Giveaways Headline Pelicans' Promotional Schedule
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - When it comes to anniversary celebrations, giveaways are the name of the game for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans this season. When combining the return of weekly fan favorites such as Wiener Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays and Locals Appreciation Saturdays with new weekly specials like $2 Tacos and Tallboys on Tuesdays, Beer Brats & Baseball along with First Responder Night for each Friday and a Ultimate Kids Day every Sunday, it's clear that value and commitment to the community reign supreme.
The overall 2018 promotional calendar celebrates the team's rich 20-year history through a variety of giveaways and theme nights. The club's collectable series includes a set of interlocking bobbleheads featuring Brian McCann, Freddie Freeman, Ian Happ and Gleyber Torres. Additionally, the Pelicans will host a photo baseball giveaway every Saturday in June that highlights the Braves, Rangers and Cubs eras, respectively as well as a managers' edition. Additional giveaways that will pay homage to 20 years of Pelicans baseball on the Grand Strand include a What-If-Night jersey giveaway, the return of Myrtle Beach Merman Night, a Salute to Bull Durham and much more.
The 2018 weekly lineup is a reflection of historical fan favorites infused with the team's commitment to the community. Each week kicks off with each Monday's Half Off for Hunger, courtesy of Lowes Foods, where fans can save half off of their ticket price when they donate items from the approved Backpack Buddies list (click here to view the list). New to the lineup this season is $2.00 Tacos & Tallboys, presented by Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant, and available exclusively at the Pelican Perch. Bud and Bud Light drafts and $2.00 16 oz. cans, half-price glasses of Duplin Winery wine will be joining the Happy Hour offerings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Thursday. Making the move from Tuesday to Friday as a part of the new Beer, Brats and Baseball promotion courtesy of Lowes Foods, fans can enjoy $2.00 craft drafts and BOGO sausages. Fridays in 2018 are also First Responder Fridays courtesy of 707 Shooting Range. The Pelicans will provide 100 free tickets to first responders every Friday.
