Chicago Steel News Release

GENEVA, ILLINOIS - Stanley Cup Champion Bryan Bickell and mascot Tommy Hawk will be in attendance to take pictures and sign autographs for Steel fans as part of the team's fifth annual Chicago Blackhawks Night this Saturday, Feb. 15 when the Steel battle Team USA in the first of two Presidents Day Weekend home games.

Bickell will perform the ceremonial puck drop and Tommy Hawk, 2019 Inductee into the Mascot Hall of Fame, will entertain fans and participate in promotions throughout the night.

Fans will have the opportunity to head home with Chicago Blackhawks prizes including tickets to the Mar. 27th game against the Dallas Stars, a signed Patrick Kane photo and autographed pucks from Duncan Keith and Alex DeBrincat.

Tickets are available for Saturday's game starting at just $10. Parking is always free.

Sunday's matinee includes LEGO challenges for fans as part of LEGOLAND Day presented by LEGOLAND Schaumburg and a Topgolf Family Pack game. The special deal includes four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas, four chuck-a-pucks, four $10-off Topgolf game play cards and four Topgolf stadium seat pads. The package starts at just $48 but must be purchased in advance as the special deal is not available on the day of the game.

Fans will be treated to a Chicago Steel logo made out of LEGO bricks by a master builder and will have the opportunity to win tickets and annual passes to LEGOLAND Schaumburg.

Both games are against the USA Hockey National Team Development Program U17 squad with a 7:05 pm puck drop on Saturday and a 3:05 pm start time on Sunday afternoon.

Chicago owns a 33-27-3-2 edge in the all-time regular-season series against Team USA but fell 5-4 in overtime in the teams' first meeting of the season on Oct. 19 at Fox Valley Ice Arena. Forward Dylan Duke leads Team USA U17 with 12 goals and shares first with 22 points (12G, 10A) through 25 games played this season.

Before the two-game homestand, the Steel head to Des Moines, Iowa for a Valentine's Day showdown against the Des Moines Buccaneers. The Bucs took down the Steel by a 7-6 score on Feb. 1 in the first matchup of the season between the non-conference foes.

Chicago won three games in as many days last weekend with a two-game sweep on the road against the Green Bay Gamblers and a victory to close the weekend versus the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Sunday.

Netminder Victor Ostman earned both wins against Green Bay, stopping 32 shots in the 2-1 victory on Friday and turning away 29 attempts in Saturday's 4-2 win. Goaltender Ian Shane took the victory on Sunday with a 27-save outing in a 3-1 defeat of the Lumberjacks.

Steel forward Brendan Brisson netted a goal in all three victories, giving him 21 markers on the season. The Manhattan Beach, Calif., native became just the fourth rookie in Steel history to reach the 20-goal plateau.

After the 3-in-3 set, the Steel will travel to Waterloo, Iowa for a battle against the Black Hawks on Sat., Feb. 22 and Madison, Wisc. for a matchup against the Capitols on Sun., Feb. 23.
