MUSKEGON, MI- The Muskegon Lumberjacks fended off a furious attack by the Chicago Steel, preserving their third-period lead and winning 5-3.
Chicago fired 14 shots on goal in the third period, attempting to erase Muskegon's 4-3 lead, but both netminder Jan Skorpik and the Jacks' penalty kill stood tall, and turned Chicago away in the first of this three-game series....LINK TO FULL POST GAME ARTICLE

Geneva, IL- The Muskegon Lumberjacks cruised past the Chicago Steel Saturday night by a score of 7-2. Cam Berg had a three point night while Cristophe Tellier and Tanner Kelly both put two in the net. Nate Reid stopped 27 of 29 shots.
The first period started out strong offensively for both teams getting great chances early. Muskegon would capitalize on a Quinn Huston rebound tally making it 1-0 at 6:05.

Geneva- IL- Danil Gushchin scored three points, pushing him past Matej Paulovic and into first all-time on the Muskegon Lumberjacks scoring list Sunday at Fox Valley Ice Arena. Chicago defeated Muskegon 7-4, but Gushchin is now at the pinnacle of Muskegon's all-time scoring list.
