Week 17 Preview

February 26, 2021 - United States Hockey League (USHL) - Fargo Force News Release

The first place Fargo Force (21-11-2; 44pts.) are hitting the road this weekend for two games in Nebraska. Kicking of the weekend this Saturday in Kearney for a 7:05 puck drop vs. the Tri-City Storm (17-11-1-1; 36pts.). Then on to Lincoln for a 3:05 puck drop on Sunday vs. the Lincoln Stars (10-17-1; 21pts.).

Saturday will be the sixth time Fargo and Tri-City have faced off this season. Currently the series record lies in favor of the Storm, taking home 3/5 wins so far, two of which came on Force home ice. Fargo's record with Lincoln remains heavily in the Force's favor, having won 5/6 matchups so far this season. This weekend the Force will look to build of their two-game sweep of Sioux City and close out February with a pair of wins.

Tristan Broz (14G-19A-33P) is the current point leader for the Force. He's currently averaging .97 points per game and is ranked 9th in total goals and overall points in the USHL. Aaron Huglen (8G-13A-21P) has been a big factor for the Force since his return to the ice. In just 19 games he's racked up eight goals and 13 assists and is currently ranked fourth on the team in overall points. Ryan Siedem (1G-19A-20P) is the current point leader amongst defenseman and is tied with Jeremy Davidson (9G-19A-28P) and Tristan Broz for the team lead in assists.

Hunter Strand (9G-16A-25P) is the current point leader for Tri-City, followed close behind by Carter Mazur (11G-13A-24P). Rounding out this dangerous first line is Mark Estapa (8G-12A-20P) combined this trio contributed to 6/12 goals scored against the Force in their last three game series. In the net for Tri City is the current #1 goalie in the USHL, Todd Scott. He will no doubt play a significant role in this weekend's Saturday night face off.

Point leaders for Lincoln include Dominic James (5G-11A-16P) and Jack O'Leary (5G-8A-13P). The Force will look to shut down Lincoln once again and add a sixth win to their season record vs. Lincoln.

Following the games this weekend the Force return to home ice, starting out on Friday March 5th with 80's Night!

-$8 tickets for anyone born in the 80's with a valid driver's license shown at the box office.

-Slap bracelet give away upon entry.

-The staff will sport their best 80's gear and we encourage all fans to do the same!

-80's themed entertainment will occur throughout the night.

Saturday March 6th is Bring your Dog to the Game Night!

-Dog tickets will be available to purchase for $2 at the box office.

-All dogs are welcome, but a waiver must be signed before entry.
