Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
Moose Jaw, SK--- The Moose Jaw Warriors have named Jason Bast and Travis Hamonic as co-captains for the 2009-2010 season. Bast and Hamonic will provide leadership and set an example for their fellow Warriors.
Bast has spent his entire WHL career with the Warriors and will be playing in his final season-second as a Warriors captain. Hamonic, a World Junior hopeful and Islanders draft pick will also proudly wear the "C" this season.
"Both players have proven time and time again that they are true leaders," said Head Coach Dave Hunchak. "Their work ethic and attitude both on and off the ice make them ideal candidates," added Hunchak.
Along with Bast and Hamonic, alternate captains for the season will be Chad Suer, Ryan Stanton and Cody Smuk. These three individuals also have outstanding leadership abilities and will play an important part in leading the team this year.
