
Vancouver Giants Announce 2018 Training Camp Schedule

Vancouver, B.C. - The 2018-19 season is upon us and this week the Vancouver Giants will begin Training Camp at the Ladner Leisure Centre. Approximately 60 players will be travelling to the Lower Mainland from throughout Western Canada and the United States to participate. Training Camp will begin Thursday, August 23rd and will run through Sunday, August 26th. Players will be separated into three teams (Team Kane, Team Gallagher, and Team Lucic) who are all named after Vancouver Giants alumni.
During the weekend fans will get their first glimpse of signed 2003-born prospects Zack Ostapchuk and Drew Sim. Justin Sourdif, Joel Sexsmith, Tanner Brown, Krz Plummer, Jacob Gendron and Braedy Euerby headline the list of 2002-born prospects all gunning for a spot on the 2018-19 roster. Fresh off a gold medal at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, 2019 top NHL prospect Bowen Byram returns for his third Training Camp with the Giants while recent NHL draft picks Milos Roman (Calgary Flames), David Tendeck (Arizona Coyotes) and Alex Kannok Leipert (Washington Capitals) will also be in attendance.
