Utah Royals FC News Release

SANDY, Utah - Utah Royals FC have signed GK Emma Jane Proctor as a goalkeeper replacement for the upcoming match against Sky Blue FC in New Jersey, announced Head Coach Laura Harvey and her staff. The move was made after GK Abby Smith was called up to represent the United States Women's National team from June 1-13, including back-to-back international friendlies against China P.R.

Proctor was URFC's Second Round pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft in mid-January, and 34th pick overall. She came to Royals FC after four seasons at Duke University, where she posted a 50-15-9 record with 35 shutouts and a 0.65 goals against average in 84 appearances, 71 of them in a starting role. That was capped by a stellar senior season that saw her go 21-2-1 with 14 shutouts and a 0.35 goals against average in leading the Blue Devils to the College Cup Semifinals.

Utah Royals FC (2-2-5, 11 points), will now travel to the east coast to take on Sky Blue FC (0-7-1, 1 point) at Yurcak Field this Saturday, June 2. The match-up is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. MT, and will be aired on KMYU, the KSL TV app, and ESPN700.

Born less than a year ago and already supported by nearly 6,000 season ticket holders, Utah Royals FC tickets are available now by calling 844.Real.Tix or visiting www.UtahRoyalsFC.com.
