Three Out Of Four Ain t Bad: The two division leaders faced off this weekend in Indianapolis, as Omaha took on Indiana. Extra time was needed to decide the winner each night. Omaha won 3-2 in a shootout on Friday, while Indiana rode a Greg Squires power play goal to a 3-2 overtime win on Saturday, giving each team three out of four points on the weekend.
Ohio Stopped: Mario Lamoureux scored early in the third period on Saturday, the deciding goal in the Storms 3-2 win over Ohio. The loss snapped Ohio s winning streak at five games.
Ouch I n Omaha: Matt White scored a pair of goals in regulation time on Friday, then scored again in the shootout in the Lancers 3-2 win over Indiana. He was then lost to the Lancers when he lacerated his spleen Saturday s rematch.
Sioux City Sliding: Since they had their eight-game winning streak snapped on New Year s Eve, Sioux City has gone 2-5-1 in their next eight and has been shut out three times.
