Under-18 World Championships to Begin April 19th

Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk, Russia - Set to begin tomorrow, April 19th, the Gens will have three players and a prospect taking part in the 2018 IIHF U18 World Championships in Russia. Forwards Serron Noel and Allan McShane will take the ice for Team Canada, defenceman Nico Gross will co-captain the Swiss Team and Generals prospect Jack DeBoer will suit up for the USA.
Teams will play in four preliminary round games to determine who will advance to the medal rounds. All three teams the Generals players/prospects are on will see tournament play in Group A, which also includes Sweden and Belarus to round out the group.
TSN, the official broadcast partner of Hockey Canada, is broadcasting 15 games, including all of Team Canada's match-ups at the IIHF U18 World Championship.
Canada has won seven medals at the IIHF U18 World Championship, including three gold (2003, 2008, 2013), one silver (2005), and three bronze (2012, 2014, 2015). Canada will look to reclaim gold for the first time since 2013.
