HOUSTON - The New England Revolution Under-18 team earned a 3-1 victory against fellow MLS team Seattle Sounders FC in its last game of the 2012-13 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Finals Week. With the win, the Revolution closed out its first-ever Finals Week with a record of 1-3-0 (3 pts.) to finish in seventh place overall.

While Seattle created the first real opportunity of the match, hitting the post from inside the six-yard box in just the second minute of play, New England scored in the fifth minute to gain an early advantage.Peguy Ngatcha's (Manchester, N.H.) initial shot was saved, butDominik Machado(Attleboro, Mass.) was there to tap in the rebound. The Revs had three more chances inside the first 10 minutes, but did not find the back of the net again until the 24th.Danny Apajee(Cranston, R.I.) combined with Machado, whose pass was finished by Ngatcha to double New England's advantage.

New England scored once more before halftime, spurred byDeclan McCabe(Weston, Mass.). The midfielder dribbled across the face of goal before colliding with the goalkeeper, but Ngatcha was there again to tap the loose ball in in the 35th minute.

Seattle came out looking determined in the second half and Jordan Morris pulled one back in the 75th minute. But the Revs' offense had done its part and the score was 3-1 at the final whistle.
