Arkansas Travelers News Release

As of last week, Traveler first baseman Mark Trumbo wasn't going to Frisco, Texas, for the Texas League All-Star game. Tomorrow, he'll be one of six Texas Leaguers in the Home Run Derby, set for 5:45 p.m. at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, and will then start for the North Division All-Star team and Arkansas manager Bobby Magallanes.

Trumbo, 23, hit seven home runs in the first half of the season to go with 16 doubles, one triple and 39 RBIs. He hit 32 home runs between Class A-Advanced Rancho Cucamonga and Double-A Arkansas in 2008. The 6-foot-4 righthander will square off against Texas League home run leader Collin DeLome (14) of Corpus Christi, Midland's Chris Carter (13), Northwest Arkansas's Corey Smith (13), Springfield's Steven Hill (11), and San Antonio's Craig Cooper (6).
