Training Camp Begins

October 9, 2018 - Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) - Macon Mayhem News Release

The Mayhem have officially begun their training camp for the 2018-19 season.

"We're thrilled to have so many returning players back in the fold, along with an exciting mix of new talent," Head Coach Leo Thomas said. "Everyone here is looking forward to getting the season started."

Players began arriving at the Macon Centreplex on Monday to conduct evaluations and partake in an optional skate. Wednesday, October 10th will mark the first day with mandatory on-ice sessions, and will be the first day to be made open to the public. A similar day will be on hand Thursday, followed by a pre-season game against the Fayetteville Marksmen at 6 pm on Friday night. Scrimmages and meetings will take place over the weekend.

The second week of camp will be the media week, when players and coaches will be made available for interviews by local media stations from Monday thru Wednesday. The final roster will be released on Wednesday, October 17th. Training camp will end the following day.

Coaches Thomas and Ryan Michel have split the players up into two teams, which will be competing against one another over the next ten days. Below is the Mayhem's final training camp roster, which will be slightly narrowed down again by next Wednesday.
